Mongolian IOC Member makes significant donations in pandemic period

ULAANBAATAR, December 9, 2020 – Mongolian IOC Member Battushig Batbold has through his “Battushig & Tselmuun Foundation” made significant donations during the pandemic period in his country.

The Mongolia NOC First Vice President donated 10 million tugrik (USD 3,500) to the Gurvan Gal maternity home to support the purchase of modern, European technology for infant children.

He then gave 20 million tugrik (USD 7,000) to Songdo Hospital for the charity initiative in providing free heart surgery for children in need. 

Batbold, who was elected IOC Member at the 136th IOC Session in July, also organised a donation of sportswear to young promising Olympic winter athletes and coaches in Mongolia for their advancement.
